I felt inspired to tinker tonight, instead of getting any real work done. So I’ll share my fake “news monstrosity”.
So no, my blog isn’t dead. I just took a hiatus. Life dealt us some rough blows the last few months. (Try traveling with food poisoning on the hottest day of the year, going to your mother-in-law’s funeral, and a $1200 tax mistake all happening one week. There’s been more but that particular week will never be forgotten.)
Good things have happened though too. We won $1000 in the ING “Road to Happiness” contest, which will be going into savings - believe it or not. I get a new freezer on Saturday. I’ve been doing a lot of spinning and have my shawl yarn almost all spun. I’ve learned the secret to getting my bread to rise properly is gluten added to the dough. I’ve been exploring new aspects of photography and taught a successful class on frugal lighting. Argh. I think I’m too tired, all I can think of is the stuff from the last few days. Will add more tomorrow when I am awake.
But tomorrow I have homemade Kuchen for breakfast. That’s rather positive, even for a Norwegian.
