Thought I’d convert my Japanese named blog to a name of my own language. Though, I’ll always like “kitsunetachi” (aka fox and company), it was hard for others to deal with. So I’ve adopted Fox Downs.

Foxes, foxes. Since the day back in college, we found a family of foxes behind our apartment, I’ve been a fan of the little creatures. Thus, they seem to invade my website, my SCA banner, my drawings, etc..

My life revolves around my family (husband and 2 kidlets). We’re starting to be really busy with activities going on for everyone, so we are trying to keep things simple. Limit what we can accomplish and activities we can be at during the week. Also trying to simplify our lives in regards to possessions. It’s helping keep us sane and less grumpy. (Confession time: I’m a pack-rat in reform.)

I’m involved in my local photography club, our church, and helping in my son’s classroom.

The photography interest started Nov 2006 when I figured that with some practice I could probably get better shots (with practice) than the photographer at the mall store studio. A year later I was able to meet my goal and am having a blast learning everything I can about photography and photo editing.

Other hobbies include: baking my own bread, roasting coffee, spinning (yes that’s my wheel on the top of the blog), knitting, sewing, and getting my daily internet and computer fix. (I’m a former programmer so a bit of technical stuff is good for the brain.) I enjoy challenges and learning about new things.
