Bento with what you have!
Just Bento has often inspired me to try new foods. Though, we don’t have access to many of the staples without ordering online. (The Asian food store here is very focused on Vietnamese foods. Good stuff but not what I’m looking for.)
We went geocaching with friends last night and packed picnic suppers. I couldn’t face another sandwich! So we did bento! Didn’t turn out too bad for our first time packing bentos and just using what we could find. Granted they are not as pretty as Maki’s, but I have much to learn. These cute little sauce holders are now on my Christmas list after having to dig and dig for small containers…

First attempted bentos in boxes

Kitchen Tip for Us Dummies
Don’t cut your pinky finger with the waxed paper box. You don’t know how many times you use that little finger! (Will be typing “daintily” today with my pinky up – if I can ever be “dainty”.)

Oooooo Looks delicious. My mouth is watering but I can’t eat another thing this evening. My wife looked at these images earlier and remarked how fantastic the food looked.
I’m going to be waking up hungry tonight. If I do I’ll be blaming you!
Don’t blame me, blame Maki at Just Bento. It’s all her fault I even tried it.
Looks delicious and healthy!
Thanks. It was just what I had on hand.
Oh, wow. That looks simple but visually attractive and very yummy!
